Its been a while since I have heard anything from Tom Cruise, Other very famous people appearing in Lions for Lamps is Meryl Streep and Robert Redford who also is the director of this movie, exciting to see what will happen with these 3 great actors in play.

Plot:
We see 3 different scenarios running at the same time, the first one is a Senator on Capital Hill debates a current crisis in Afghanistan, with the Reporter who made his career.
Second a professor teaching politics, trying to convince a student not to give up his studies using two former students who passionately enlisted in the Army as an example.
And the third is the two army guys, under fire in Afghanistan, the same crisis the senator and reporter are debating over.
The plot seems a bit confusing in my opinion, the trailer presents the movie very well, lets hope its not a disappointment.
